Well, three days overdue now and no sign that baby is planning to move out soon.
The day after the sweep, shortly after my last blog post, i went to the toilet and saw what i *thought* could have been a show. Excuse the “too much information”! However, it didn’t have any blood in it and wasn’t tinged pink, as the books say it might be. I got quite excited after that and we went for a nice long walk to see if that would start anything off.
But nothing!
I went to bed thinking (yet again!) “this could be it!”
But when i woke up the next day, still nothing. I felt totally normal again.
Was feeling very frustrated and fed up yesterday morning, especially after getting my hopes up the day before. It didn’t help that it was a rainy and cold morning and we felt a bit cooped up in the house – didn’t want to stray too far in the car just in case, and couldn’t go out because of the weather.
Anyway, luckily, the weather picked up a bit in the afternoon, so we headed out for another long walk which cheered us up. Then, about 5pm i went to the loo again and there it was again – this stuff that *could* just possibly, maybe, hopefully, be a show!
All last night, i was willing contractions to start! And i did feel a bit achy, a few sharp pains as baby was kicking my bladder etc etc and i started to feel hopefull (again!) that maybe this was the start of things!
Went to bed and baby was VERY wiggly, moving round loads and felt like there was plenty of presure down in my pelvic region. Again, my hopes were raising! Finally managed to get to sleep and then….
woke up 8.3oam feeling fine with not so much as a twinge!
And then! I went to the loo again and there was the stuff again!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr…..
My body is sending me too many mixed messages, and it is driving us crazy!
It is now 23rd of December, and baby has very little time if she wants to arrive this side of Christmas. Otherwise, it’s a Christmas Day baby, or, if not…. well, a 2008 one?!?!
HURRY UP BABY WE ARE GETTING VERY IMPATIENT!!
