I am a 31-year-old mum to three beautiful girls: Lilly, 4, Isla, 1, and Eve, born in February this year. I live with my husband Tony in the North West of England.
I was lucky enough to have my daughters after surviving bowel cancer, which was diagnosed and successfully treated in 2005, when I was just 25 years old.
I started my blog when I was first trying for a baby in 2006. Back then, I didn’t know if it would ever happen, or whether my chemotherapy would have damaged my fertility. But I have been extremely lucky to be blessed, three times!
So now we’re a family of five, and this blog is about our day to day adventures and challenges, from the funny to the frustrating to the amazing to the downright difficult.
Aside from my mummy duties I love to cook – I collect recipes and love trying new foods. I’m very interested in news and current affairs, and love reading, although I don’t get as much time to do it as I’d like these days! And, if I were ever to get an evening out, you’d find me enjoying a meal out with my lovely hubby, washed down with a rather large glass of wine… bliss.
